Randy Geils served a 250 in the third game — a personal best by nine pins and the second-biggest game anyone has rolled all season, behind only Keith Piper’s 268 from Week 2. It was his eleventh game over 200, which keeps him level with Piper, who had his own 212 but came in 26 under average and slipped back below a 200 average to 199.50 a week after becoming the first to reach it. High Rollers took all seven from Here For Beer, the only sweep of the night. Wai Leung was the story at the other end of the house: a 408 at +78 over average, the biggest night anyone had, carrying a 678 handicap series. And the phantoms finally scored — Ghosted took 2 points off Strikes 2 Spares under the vacancy rule.

Alcoballics break both team handicap records in one night; Keith Piper crosses 200

Alcoballics put up 715, 675 and 637 for a 2027 handicap series — and in doing so took both league team records in a single night, passing Oily Balls’ 706 game from Week 1 and Gutter Done’s 2007 series that had stood since the opener. Jessica Warnock led them with a 448 at +103 over average. Strikes 2 Spares swept Gutter Done, who have now gone two straight weeks without a point and have fallen from 4th to 11th since Week 6. Keith Piper rolled a 202 and a 232 to push his season average to 200 — the first bowler in the league to get there — though Pinotrators could only take 5 from High Rollers.

Position round reshuffles everything; Strike Time sweep to 2nd; High Rollers climb four places

The position round did what it is supposed to do. Strike Time Pro Shop swept Alcoballics 7–0 for their fourth sweep of the season — more than anyone — and jumped to 2nd. That’s How We Roll blanked Strikes 2 Spares to reach 4th. High Rollers swept the vacancy and climbed from 10th to 6th in one night. Oily Balls took the top-of-the-table match 5–2 over Pinotrators to stretch their lead to three games. Alcoballics were held scoreless and slipped to exactly .500 at 28–28. The night’s loudest single game belonged to Hannah Heffron, whose 172 was 74 pins over her average — matching the biggest over-average game anyone has bowled this season.

Alcoballics put together their best night of the season, a 1846 handicap series and a 7–0 sweep of Gutter Done — who went from 4th to 7th on the strength of a single pointless Thursday. That’s How We Roll swept the vacancy for their own 7 and climbed to 5th. Oily Balls took 5 off High Rollers to stretch their lead at the top, and Pinotrators did the same to Cereal Bowlers behind a 533 scratch game, the week’s best. Here For Beer opened with a 683 handicap game — a new team record — but could only convert 2 points against Strike Squad.

Here For Beer put up a team-record 1928 handicap series to blank Alcoballics 7–0, and High Rollers swept Strikes 2 Spares 7–0 to climb out of the basement. Oily Balls edged Gutter Done 4–3 to keep first place. The oddity of the night: Ghosted took 2 points off the Pinotrators — the vacancy’s first points since Week 4 — after Pinotrators opened more than 30 pins under their team average. Against a vacancy a team only has to stay within 30 pins of its team average each game — Cereal Bowlers cleared that bar all three (587–594–584, 1765 handicap) and banked all 7 points. That’s How We Roll put together their first 7–0 sweep of the season, knocking off the Pinotrators behind Joy Cutrera’s 202 game and 496 series (both new women’s season highs). Oily Balls won 5–2 over Strikes 2 Spares to climb to sole first place. Strike Time Pro Shop swept High Rollers 7–0 for their second consecutive week.
